Biography
- Her career in the world of illustration began in the city of Oviedo, in the mid-80s, where she collaborated with the Fundación de Cultura and Campoamor Theatre developing different themes related to the world of children. Her education, initially self-taught, broadened when she moved to Madrid where she deepened the techniques of illustration, painting and engraving, the latter being the one that would mark her work ever since. In 2000, she created her own studio of graphic work focusing on engraving as the most characteristic means of expression of her work. The development and combination of different techniques such as soft varnish, etching, dry tip, linocut engraving, collage, serigraph, etc. are translated into line drawing prints that express the magic of the children’s world. Her inspiration comes from her childhood, where animals, nature, dreams, music, and stories are the protagonists. Her engravings have gone through various exhibitions and art fairs and since 2004 she has been participated in the International Contemporary Art Fair ESTAMPA. In addition to engraving, she also develops her work in the fields of advertising illustration, graphic design, and painting.
