- I got my hands dirty with the plasticity of this clay, and I faced that frightening space of opportunities that is the White colour. I felt the frenzy and peace in that encounter. And I read that same feeling in the work of other artists who have been a reference to me in this project like José Angel Valente or Jeanne Chavalier. I also found a common space in some of the lines Herman Melville used to get lost in his descriptions about the sea, and the great whale. After all, Ahab was only a man in the midst of the void, moved by the wind, and with one obsession: freeing himself from the white.
